Men's Baseball
The #1 ranked Bobcats (37-9 Overall; 22-2 Sun-Lakes Conference) opened the week with a home win against Hillsborough Community College on Tuesday, April 8, night, 12-4. The Bobcats would continue their winning ways on Friday, April 11, afternoon against Palm Beach State College, 3-2, in the eleventh inning. PHSC swept the weekend against the Panthers on Saturday with two wins, 10-0 in five innings and 15-6 in eight innings.
The Bobcats have now won their last 11 games and are undefeated in the month of April. The ‘Cats have won 19 of their last 20 games spanning from early March up to this past weekend.
On Saturday against Palm Beach State, OF Clay Thompson broke the PHSC all-time stolen base record with 43 stolen bases on the season, a record previously held by Jermaine White with 42 in 2019.
The Bobcats also earned their fourth straight Sun Lakes Conference regular season title. Since the conference’s inception in 2022, the Bobcats have won all four regular season crowns. The team has officially clinched their berth to the FCSAA Tournament.
The Bobcats are back at home beginning Tuesday, April 15, against NJCAA DI’s #7 Florida SouthWestern State College at 5 p.m. The Cats stay at home on Friday, April 18, against conference foe, #13 St. Johns River State College at 4 p.m. PHSC heads to Palatka to take on the Vikings on Saturday afternoon at 2 and 5 p.m.
Women's Softball
The Bobcats (26-22 Overall; 11-11 Sun-Lakes Conference) opened the week with a sweep over Florida Gateway College, 6-3 and 11-10, on Thursday night, April 10. The Cats would drop their weekend doubleheader on Saturday to #1 St. Johns River State, 10-2 and 12-0.
The Bobcats return to action on Tuesday, April 15 on the road against State College of Florida at 4 and 6 p.m. The Cats return home on Friday, April 18 against Lake-Sumter State College at 3 and 5 p.m to wrap up the week.
Women's Flag Football
The Bobcats (1-14; 0-4) fell in the team’s home finale against Florida Gateway College, 41-0, on Saturday afternoon, April 11.
The Bobcats are on the road this Friday against the University of Tampa with a game time to be announced.
