Men's Baseball

The Bobcats dropped their midweek opener to Santa Fe College in Gainesville, falling 8-3 on Tuesday afternoon, February 18. PHSC rebounded in the conference opener against South Florida State College on Friday with an 8-0 victory. The team split their doubleheader against South Florida State College on Saturday, losing Game 1, 4-2, and winning Game 2, 6-5.

PHSC returns to action this weekend with a three-game series against Lake-Sumter State College. They play on Friday, February 28, at 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

CF Clay Thompson went 3-for-4 in Friday’s win, collecting three RBIs and a double. Michael Saverse pitched 6.2 innings, allowing no hits and striking out five.

Women's Softball

The Bobcats swept their doubleheader against Polk State College on Tuesday, February 18, winning 6-4 and 2-1. They continued their winning streak into Thursday’s matchup against Hillsborough Community College with another doubleheader sweep, 10-7 and 11-3. The Bobcats secured a pair of home wins on Friday against New College of Florida, winning 11-8 and 9-1.

They closed out the weekend against Canadian college Western University, splitting the series with an 8-4 win and a 13-12 loss.

PHSC returns to action on Tuesday, February 25, with a doubleheader against Oakland Community College at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Bobcats stay home to open conference play against Florida Gateway College on Friday, February 28, at 3 p.m. The three-game series continues on Saturday, March 1, with games at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Men's Basketball

The Bobcats dropped both of their conference games this week. They fell to Florida Gateway College, 80-65, on Wednesday, February 19. The team then suffered a home loss in their conference finale against Palm Beach State College on February 15, 95-76.

Lucson Jean led the Cats with 24 points, including five three-pointers, in their loss to Palm Beach State.

The Bobcats return to action next weekend as they host the NJCAA Region 8 Division 2 Conference Tournament from Friday, February 28, through Saturday, March 1. Friday will feature two semifinal matchups, with the championship set for Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats will play in the No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup at 6:30 p.m. EST on Friday against Palm Beach State.

Women's Flag Football

The Bobcats PHSC Women’s Flag Football opens its inaugural season on Friday, February 28, on the road against Daytona State College. The Bobcats will play a tripleheader on Saturday afternoon, March 1, against Florida Gateway College, Thomas University, and Pointe University. Saturday’s games begin at noon.
