Happy New Year! PHSC is geared up to be back on campus and are ready to take on this seasons sports.
Men's Basketball
Over winter break, the men’s basketball team (7-7) took two of three games. After falling to Montcalm Community College (MI) 65-62 and defeating Trinity College 73-72 in the PHSC Invitational, the team wrapped up the break with an 82-74 win over Bay Area Sports Academy.
The Bobcats will return to action by hosting Florida Sports Academy on Thursday, January 9 at 6 p.m. and Trinity College on Saturday, January 11 at 2 p.m. Nick Pouliot currently leads the team averaging 13.1 points per game followed by Marcus Schade (12.8) and Calen Wiggins (9.5).
Men and Women's Cross Country
In other news, freshman cross country standout Emelyn Lacour has transferred to Campbell University after signing a National Letter of Intent. Lacour was the FCSAA Region 8 Runner of the Year and placed 17 overall at the NJCAA National Championship this past fall.
Also, congratulations to Gabrielle Marshall, a former cross country runner (2020-2022) and PHSC nursing student graduate (2024) for completing the Jacksonville Marathon in 3:26:38 on December 14.
