Men and Women's Cross Country

It's a big week for the cross country teams. The women's cross country team won the FCSAA DII Region 8 championship in Tallahassee this past Friday, October 25. It was the program's seventh title in the past nine years. Freshman Emelyn Lacour won the 5K race with a time of 19:41.90. Sophomore Nathalia Mallo (20:03.20) finished second and freshman Carlie Ortiz (21:17.50) finished in fourth place. The team average of 20:54.22 was a season best.

The men’s cross country team finished behind first-place Daytona State College for the second straight year in the men’s 8K race. Sophomore Jaime Candelaria (27:05.70) led the Bobcats finishing in sixth place and freshman Dylan Powell (27:10.70) in seventh. Both teams will be preparing for the NJCAA DII National 5K/8K championships and NJCAA Half Marathons that are set to run November 9th and November 12th in Richmond, Virginia.

Women's Volleyball

The women’s volleyball team (12-11,10-4) clinched a spot in the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament with the wins over Lake Sumter State (3-1), Florida State College at Jacksonville (3-0) and St. Johns River State (3-0) this week. The team will wrap up the regular season schedule by hosting State College of Florida at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30. More information on the upcoming tournament will be announced next week.

Women's Soccer

The women’s soccer team (2-9, 0-4) fell to St. Leo University 4-2 in their season finale last Thursday, October 24. Sophomore Haley Chase and freshman Jacqueline Cuevas Galindo scored goals in the game.

Men's Basketball

The men's basketball team will wrap up their scrimmage season by hosting West Bay Collegiate Academy on Thursday, October 31 at 7 p.m. at West Campus.

Women's Flag Football

The women's flag football team wrap up the fall scrimmage schedule over the weekend, and are excited to get into the season.
