Women’s Cross-Country
The women’s cross-country team was back in action racing at the University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational on Saturday. It’s great for our team to compete against some of the top NCAA DI and DII programs in preparation for the NJCAA Region 8 Championship on October 29th. The Bobcats placed 9th overall and 2nd among the five NJCAA teams in the field. The team was led by freshman Kylie Kanaar who ran the 4K (2.485 miles) course in 16:52 followed by Katerina Dobkowski (17:04) and Gabrielle Marshall (17:38). The Cross Country Bobcats will race again on Friday, September 17 at the FSU Open Meet in Tallahassee.
Women’s Soccer
The women’s soccer team opened their inaugural season at powerhouse Polk State last Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 12-1. The team will have their home opener against Daytona State on Wednesday, September 15 at 3 p.m. Home games are played at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel.
Women’s Volleyball
It was a tough week for the women’s volleyball team falling to Hillsborough Community College (3-0), Pensacola State (3-0), Gulf Coast State (3-0) and Eastern Florida State (3-0). The Bobcats are 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the Sun-Lakes Conference as they travel to South Florida State and Palm Beach State this coming weekend. The next home match is scheduled for October 1st against Florida Gateway College.
Men's Baseball
Men's Bobcat baseball opens its fall scrimmage season against Polk State on Saturday, September 18 when they travel to Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale.
