Cross Country: The cross-country program opened the 2022 season at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee on Sunday, September 4.
Women's Cross Country
In the women’s 5K race, the Bobcats took first place over South Florida State and Central Florida. PHSC took the five top spots as Gabrielle Marshall led the team with a time of 20:50 followed by Shelby Viseur (21:16), Maranda Hildebrand (21:38), Mia DeRonda (21:43) and Alexi Amer (22:18). The team average of 21:33 was a strong performance for the first meet of the season. The Bobcats will make two more appearances at ARP this season competing in the NJCAA Region 8 Championship on October 28 and NJCAA DII National Championship on November 12.
Men's Cross Country
The inaugural men’s team ran unopposed as host Tallahassee Community College only had two runners participating as five runners are needed to score. PHSC’s Luis Cruzado won the 8K race in a time of 28:14 followed by Tom Palamar (28:27), Seth Stringer (29:24), Ronnie Aeschleman (29:26) and Thomas Tyler (29:58).
Women's Soccer
The women's soccer team lost a hard-fought match to University of South Carolina-Lancaster (4-3) in Daytona Beach. Their next match is at Polk State College, on Friday, September 9 at 4 p.m.
Women's Volleyball
The women’s volleyball team opened Sun-Lakes Conference play on the road. The Bobcats lost a hard-fought match to Gulf Coast State College three sets to two on Saturday but bounced back to defeat Pensacola State College (3-1) on Sunday. Conference action continues this week when the Bobcats host Lake Sumter State College on Friday, September 9 at 6 p.m. and Florida State College of Jacksonville on Saturday, September 10 at noon.
