Sydney Freyer Awarded FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player Of The Week

PHSC is proud to announce that Sydney Freyer of the Women’s Volleyball team has been selected as the FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week!

The freshman Defensive Specialist from Palm Harbor, FL, at the time of her nomination, averaged 4.8 digs over 10 sets, 1.3 assists and 0.3 service aces. Notably, Freyer recorded 25 digs against Polk State and had 23 when facing Santa Fe College on 8/22. 

Women’s Volleyball Team Lose Doubleheader Against Santa Fe & Enterprise  

The Women’s Volleyball Team, having a 1-2 record entering Friday’s doubleheader, has now faltered to a 1-4 standing after back-to-back losses against both Santa Fe College and Enterprise Community College. 

The team’s next match is Wednesday, September 3, on the West Campus in Building K against Monroe University at 6 p.m. EST.  

Women’s Soccer Team Draws Trinity Baptist College In Away Contest

The Women’s Soccer Team produced a draw [0-0] against Trinity Baptist College (Trinity College of Jacksonville) in Friday’s away match. They now stand with a 1-1-1 record as of September 2. The Bobcats recorded 18 shots and 5 saves in their battle with the Eagles. 

The team’s inaugural home game of the regular season will be against Webber International University JV on September 7 at 4 p.m. EST. The game will be held at Wesley Chapel District Park.
