Women’s Volleyball Team Secures First Conference Win Against FSCJ, Falters Against St. Johns River State College

The Women’s Volleyball Team had a busy week with mixed results during their three-game home stretch. 

On September 10, PHSC took on Lake-Sumter State College, losing 3-0 in the late-evening contest. 

On September 12, the Lady Bobcats put up a strong performance against Florida State College of Jacksonville, winning 3-0 and securing their first conference win of the 2025-26 season. 

On September 13, they lost their afternoon match, 3-0, to St. Johns River State College, ending the week with a 3-8 overall record and a 1-4 conference record.

Their next home match is Friday, September 19, on the West Campus in Building K against State College of Florida at 6 p.m. EST.  

Women’s Soccer Team 0-2 Against Pensacola State College

The Women’s Soccer Team lost their two-game series against Pensacola State College. The Lady Bobcats lost in back-to-back shutouts, 2-0 on September 12 and 4-0 on September 13.

PHSC now stands with a 2-3-1 overall record as of September 15 and is 0-2 in conference play. 

The team will have their next home game of the regular season against Trinity College of Jacksonville on September 19 at 6 p.m. EST, located at the Wesley Chapel District Park. 

Men and Women’s Cross-Country Teams Build Success In Southern Showcase

The Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Teams completed their second meet of the season at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama. 54 teams from around the nation participated including NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA programs. 

The Men’s Cross Country Team had a strong showing led by Malik Millet who finished the 8K course with a time of 27:05. 

The Women’s Cross Country Team also did well with Isabella Quinlan leading the pack and securing a new personal best time of 20:23 during the 5K.  

Both teams will travel to Tallahassee, Florida for the Florida State University Pre-Regional Meet on September 26.
