The women’s volleyball team season ends as they fell short of reaching the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament by falling to South Florida State College in four sets on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Bobcats kept their hopes alive by sweeping Palm Beach State College in three sets on Friday. The team finished 8-14 on the season and 7-11 in the conference.

The men’s basketball team continued their exhibition season on Saturday falling to State College of Florida 81-63 in Bradenton. Their final pre-season game will be played at Eckerd College on October 29.

The women’s soccer team lost 1-0 to Atlantis University of Miami in their home opener on Sunday, October 24 at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel.

The men’s baseball team swept a doubleheader from Lake Sumter State College on Thursday, October 21 and will host TNXL Academy on Tuesday and Hillsborough Community College on Friday. Both doubleheaders start at 1 p.m.

The women’s softball team will wrap up their fall scrimmage season by hosting Lake Sumter State on Saturday, October 30 at 1 p.m. and a travel team next Sunday at 11 a.m.

The biggest event of the week will be the NJCAA Region 8 Cross Country Championship in Tallahassee on Friday. The Bobcats, currently ranked 14th in the latest NJCAA DII National Polls will try and upset Daytona State College (ranked 9th) for the title. The team hopes to have two top runners back from injury for the meet.
