Women's Volleyball
The women’s volleyball team (12-8, 7-4) held on to first place in the Sun-Lakes Conference South Division with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-11) win over St. Petersburg College on Wednesday, October 11 at the West Campus. Elizabeth McDonald had 12 kills in the match and Haley Ebbert added 24 assists to lead the Bobcats. The win clinched a spot in the FCSAA DII Region 8 Tournament to be held at Palm Beach State College next month. This week the team travels to State College of Florida in Bradenton on Wednesday, October 18 before hosting South Florida State College on Friday, October 20 at 6 p.m.
Women and Men's Cross County
The women and men’s cross-country teams participated in the Sunshine State Conference Preview race on Friday, October 13 in Lakeland. You had to admire the effort our teams gave as the feels like temperature for women’s race was 97 degrees and men’s race 94. Sara Ashley led the Bobcats to a fourth-place finish in the women’s race. Ashley covered the 6K course in a time of 26:01 followed by Alexi Amer (26:44) and Maranda Hildebrand (27:23). In the men’s 8K race, Ronnie Aeschleman ran a 29:04 to lead the team to a sixth-place finish. Other top runners were Tom Palamar (29:09) and Jaime Candelaria (29:15).
Men's Basketball
The men’s basketball team continues to prepare for their upcoming season with home scrimmages against Keep Striving Prep on Monday, October 23 and Florida Sports Academy on Thursday, October 26.
Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball team will be traveling to Polk State on Friday, October 20 for a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader.
Women's Softball
The women’s softball team will host the Fillies travel ball team on Saturday, October 21 and Lady Dukes travel ball team on Sunday. Both doubleheaders will begin at 12 p.m.
