All athletic events were canceled as Hurricane Helene moved up the West Coast of Florida last week. Thoughts and prayers go out to so many affected by the hurricane. Athletic Directors will be meeting on Monday to discuss rescheduling the games that were canceled.
Women's Volleyball
The women’s volleyball team (5-10, 4-3) is currently 5th in the Sun-Lakes Conference as they have the next three matches on the road. The next home match will be on Thursday, October 10 against Trinity College.
In other news, Elizabeth McDonald was named FCSAA DII Volleyball Player of the Week for her performances against St. Petersburg College and State College of Florida. McDonald continues to lead the state in kills with 239 (4.05 kills/set).
Women's Soccer
The women’s soccer team (2-4, 0-2) will travel to Polk State on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. match and Daytona State College on Saturday, October 5 for an 11 a.m. match.
Men and Women's Cross Country
The cross country teams are off until the Florida State University Invitational on Friday, October 11.
Men's Basketball
The men’s basketball team is preparing for three scrimmages in October before opening their season on Tuesday, November 5 at Ave Maria University JV.
Men's Baseball
The men's baseball team will host Florida Southwestern State College today at 3 p.m. in a doubleheader.
Women's Softball
The women’s softball team will host Polk State College on Thursday, October 10 at 6 p.m.
