Men's and Women's Cross Country
The women and men’s cross country teams head to the NJCAA DII National Championship in Tallahassee this week. In the latest poll, the women were ranked 8th and men 14th nationally. It’s the first time the championship has been run at Apalachee Regional Park, but a course the teams are very familiar with, says Steve Winterling, PHSC Athletics Director. The Bobcats are hoping to improve their ranking as all the top JUCO’s from across the country participate in this great event.
The women will open the Saturday (Nov. 12) races with an 8:15 a.m. start and the men race at 10:15 a.m.
Men's Basketball
The men’s basketball team opened their season with a 109-84 loss at Hillsborough Community College last Wednesday. Nirobi Peeler led the team with 18 points. The team will travel to St. Petersburg College on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for a 7 p.m. tip off. The home opener is scheduled for November 15 against St. Petersburg.
