Women’s Volleyball

The women’s volleyball season came to an end after falling to 13 ranked Pensacola State 3-0 in Lake Worth on Friday, November 3. The Bobcats fought hard losing 25-23, 25-20 and 25-19. Elizabeth McDonald led the team with 9 kills and Kiersten Osborne had 15 assists to lead the team. Pensacola State defeated Gulf Coast State in the finals to win the South Atlantic District Volleyball Championship. The team enjoyed a nice banquet prior to the tournament as Kylie Ciani and Elizabeth McDonald were named to the All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 team and All-Conference First-Team while Haley Ebbert and Isabella Greifenstein were named to the All-Conference Second-Team.

Women’s and Men’s Cross Country 

The cross-country program held its annual Run with the Bobcats 5K at the West Campus on Sunday, November 5. Tom Palamar was the male winner running the 3.1-mile course in 16:17 while Sara Ashley led the women with a time 20:29. It was a beautiful morning as runners as PHSC staff and community runners/walkers joined the cross-country team in this event. This week the teams head to Huntsville, Ala. to race in the NJCAA DII National 5K/8K Championship on Saturday, November 11 and the NJCAA Half Marathon on Tuesday, November 14.

Men’s Basketball

The men’s basketball team opened their season on Wednesday, November 1, falling to Hillsborough Community College 102-53 in Tampa and losing a tough 85-84 game at Ave Maria University JV on Sunday, November 5. The team will host Santa Fe College on Tuesday, November 7 in their home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Women’s Softball

The women’s softball team will wrap up its fall scrimmage season hosting St. Petersburg College at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 10.
