Women's Softball
The women’s softball team is preparing for the NJCAA DII South Atlantic District Tournament in Henrico, VA. The #3 seeded Bobcats play on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. The opponent has not been determined.
Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball 2022 season came to an end when the Bobcats (40-17) lost to Florida State College at Jacksonville 9-2 in the NJCAA DII Region 8 Championship game on Sunday. The team battled back to the finals after an opening loss to ASA College 8-7 on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Palm Beach State was eliminated by the Bobcats 10-6 on Friday and ASA 12-2 on Saturday in the loser’s bracket games. The Bobcats went against undefeated Florida State College at Jacksonville on Saturday night and won 13-6 to set up Sunday’s championship game. After taking an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, FSCJ tied the game 1-1 in the top of the 5th. FSCJ went on to score 5 runs in the top of the 6th for a 6-1 lead and eventually go on to a 9-2 win. The Bobcats finished with a record 40 wins breaking the previous record of 37 set in 2009. Despite the loss, it was a great time hosting the first-ever DII Region 8 tournament.
