Men's Baseball

The men’s baseball team (38-14, 21-9) defended their Sun-Lakes Conference championship by winning two of three games against St. Johns River State College (39-17, 20-10) this past week. On Thursday, April 29, starter Casey Daiss and reliever Davian Garcia combined on a 4-hitter with 10 strike outs in the 2-1 win. In Palatka on Friday, April 28, Chay Yeager improved to 9-2 on year by pitching a complete game in the 5-3 win which clinched the conference. St. Johns took the final game 11-2. The Bobcats will host the conference tournament that starts on Thursday, May 4. The first game of the day will be #2 St. Johns River playing #3 Palm Beach State at 2 p.m. and #1 Pasco-Hernando State taking on #4 South Florida State at 7 p.m. The winner of the double-elimination tournament will host the Region 10 winner from North Carolina on May 12-13.

Women's Softball 

The women’s softball team (24-18, 6-10) wrapped up their regular season falling to St. Petersburg College by scores of 11-2 and 7-6. The team is preparing for their conference tournament that starts on Thursday, May 4 in Clermont. The Bobcats come in as the #4 seed and will play #1 Lake Sumter State at 12 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament. The other game will feature #2 South Florida State against #3 St. Johns River also at 12 p.m. The winner of the tournament will advance and host the District Tournament against the Region 10 winner from North Carolina on May 12-13.
