Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball team (23-7, 10-2) took over first-place in the Sun-Lakes Conference by sweeping Lake Sumter State College by scores of 8-6, 17-7 and 11-1 last weekend. It was the 10th straight win for the Bobcats. Rightfielder Aiden Corn had the hot bat going 8 for 12 (.667) with 3 doubles, a home run and 8 RBIs in the series. The team will host on Kiswaukee College (Ill.) at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 before taking on second place St. Johns River State College (24-9, 9-3) this weekend. The two teams will meet at St. Johns River in Palatka on Friday, March 24 before the Bobcats host a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Women's Softball
The women’s softball team (16-6, 0-0) have won 11 straight games and will host Morton College (Ill.) on Monday, March 20 at 1 p.m. before opening Sun-Lakes Conference play against 17th ranked Lake Sumter State College on Tuesday, March 21. Game time at the West Campus is at 1 p.m. The team will travel to Florida State College at Jacksonville on Saturday, March 25 for conference play. Leftfielder Joyce Bloome currently leads the team with a .478 batting average followed by centerfielder Meghan Kimery (.456) and righfielder Taylor Tremmel (.452).
