Men's Baseball

The men’s baseball team lost two of three conference games to Lake Sumter State College this weekend but maintain a one game lead over St. Johns River State College. Lake Sumter took the first game of the series on Friday, March 15 at WREC Park 2-1. The Bobcats traveled to Leesburg on Saturday falling in the first game of a doubleheader 14-4 before bouncing back to take the second game 12-3. The teams overall record is 16-13 and 8-4 in the conference. A big three-game series starts on Friday, March 22 when the Bobcats host St. Johns River at 5 p.m. before traveling to Palatka for a 3 p.m. DH against the Vikings.

Women's Softball

The women’s softball team record fell to 12-17 and 5-7 in the conference after falling to Lake Sumter State College in their three-game series.  On Friday in Leesburg, the Bobcats lost 11-3 in five innings to the Lakehawks. The series continued Saturday, March 16 at the West Campus with the Lakehawks winning the doubleheader by scores of 5-0 and 15-2. The team will open a three-game set with St. Johns River (26-12, 10-2) in Palatka on Friday, March 22 before hosting the Vikings on Saturday in a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
