Men's Baseball: The men’s baseball team (19-9) is currently on a nine-game winning streak as they prepare for their Sun Lakes conference opener against Florida State College in Jacksonville this weekend. The streak includes two wins over NJCAA DI Miami Dade College who is ranked 19th nationally and two wins over NJCAA DII Lincoln Land Community College who is ranked 6th in the nation. It’s been a combination of outstanding pitching and hitting during the streak as the team batting average has improved to .272 and pitching staff earned run average has fallen to 3.71. The Bobcats will host the University of Tampa B on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. prior to the FSCJ series.
Women's Softball: The women’s softball team (17-13) went 4-4 over spring break. The team split series with Jackson College and Tallahassee Community College; swept Bryant and Stratton College (WI) and lost two games at St. Petersburg College. The Bobcats were ranked 16th in the latest national poll. The next home game is against Lake Region State College (ND) on Thursday, March 17, at 1 p.m.
