Former Bobcat Chris Arroyo Selected By Miami Marlins in 2025 MLB Player Draft
The PHSC Bobcats are excited to report that one of our former players was selected in the Major League Baseball first player draft.
During the 2025 MLB Player Draft, Chris Arroyo was selected by the Miami Marlins with the 139th pick in the fifth round. This selection marks Arroyo as the highest draft pick in PHSC history!
Arroyo played for PHSC during the 2023-24 season and provided some incredible numbers as a two-way player.
The left-hander maintained a 3.53 ERA, 62 K and had a 5-4 record with 12 appearances on the mound.
More importantly, he stood out as an impressive hitter with comparisons to Babe Ruth and Shoei Ohtani. The NJCAA DII All-American put up 19 HR, 52 RBIs and maintained a .403 BA.
PHSC wishes Chris Arroyo all the success in the MLB and Marlins Organization. Go Bobcats!
