Women’s Softball

It was a great end to the fall 2023 semester as our athletic programs once again excelled in the classroom. Our seven programs combined for a 3.136 grade point average that included nineteen student-athletes earning 4.0 GPAs. The softball team led all teams with an excellent 3.461 average. Teams compete for the Bobcat Award that is awarded to the team with the highest overall average for the academic year.

Women's Basketball

In other news, the athletic department hosted the Sun Coast Challenge from December 19-21. This year’s challenge included NCAA D1 Women basketball teams from the University of Georgia, University of Pittsburgh, and Ball State University. It was an exciting three days hosting the event, and the final game had Ball State defeating Georgia 52-51 in a thriller.

Men’s Basketball

Our men’s basketball team returned to action at the Palm Beach State College Invitational last week. On Friday, the Bobcats fell to Wayne County Community College 73-70 and Roxbury Community College 93-79 on Saturday. The team will host Radd Sports Academy on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Baseball and Softball Spring Practices and Alumni Games

The baseball and softball teams will start spring practices on Wednesday and will have their Alumni games on Saturday at 5 p.m. It will be fun having many of our former players return to campus and see all the improvements we have made to our facilities.
