The biggest news of the week comes from our Cross Country Head Coach Jacki Waller who won the women’s Clearwater Marathon race on Sunday, January 29, 2023. “Jacki has won many races but this one is truly impressive. Jacki finished the 26.2 mile course in 3:19:01, nine minutes ahead of the second-place finisher,” said Steve Winterling, PHSC athletics director.
Men’s Basketball
The Bobcat’s (8-9, 0-3) won two non-conference games early in the week before falling to conference foe Palm Beach State (11-7, 2-1) 97-76 at the West Campus. The team will take on Trinity College on Monday, January 30 at 7 p.m. before hosting Florida Gateway College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Men’s Baseball
The baseball team (1-2, 0-0) defeated St. Petersburg College 11-4 on Saturday after falling to Hillsborough Community College 1-0 and Florida Southwestern State College 7-6 on Friday. The Bobcats will host Polk State College on Monday, January 30, at 5 p.m. and St. Petersburg College on Saturday, February 4 in a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
Women’s Softball
The Bobcats (0-4, 0-0) opened the season at the JUCO Classic in Clearwater this weekend. The Bobcats fell to Tallahassee Community College 5-2 and Seminole State College 4-0 on Saturday. They lost to Parkland College 2-1 and Eastern Georgia State College 4-2 on Sunday. The team returns to action at Santa Fe College on February 11, 2023.
