Men's Basketball
PHSC continued conference action this week with a pair of home games. The Bobcats dropped their midweek showdown against Palm Beach State College, 102-70, on Wednesday and their Saturday clash against Florida State College at Jacksonville, 90-61. The Bobcats stay at home this week, beginning on Wednesday, January 29, against Florida Gateway College at 6 p.m.
The team will then hit the road to take on Palm Beach State on Saturday, February 2, at 2 p.m.
Men's Baseball
The Bobcats opened their season last Friday, January 24, at State College of Florida with a 5-3 victory over Miami-Dade College in a neutral-site matchup. Michael Savares, Gavin Zassenbraker, Logan Waldschmidt and Steven Rojas combined for 15 strikeouts in the game. The team continued their weekend in Bradenton, Florida, at the SCF Legends Classic with a doubleheader on Saturday. The Bobcats dropped the opening game against Eastern Florida State College, 16-8, and fell in game two against the host team, State College of Florida, 8-4.
The Bobcats return home for the first time this spring with a pair of matchups. On Tuesday, January 28, the team takes on A3 Academy at 6 p.m. On Friday, January 31, the Bobcats begin a three-game series against Polk State at 1 p.m. The series continues on the road Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Women's Softball
The Bobcats kickstarted their season with a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon, January 24. The team dropped the season opener to Illinois’ Rend Lake College, 7-6. They also fell in the second game of the doubleheader to St. Petersburg College, 10-4.
The team hits the road on Tuesday, January 28, to take on Daytona State College in a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The Bobcats return home on Friday, January 31, to face Florida Southwestern State College in another doubleheader showdown starting at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
