Women's Softball
The women’s softball team won four straight games this weekend to improve to 5-5 on the season. On Saturday, February 25, 2023, the Bobcats defeated Florida State University Club Team 12-4 and 7-0. They followed up Sunday sweeping Western University (Canada) 12-8 and 4-3. Taylor Tremmel had the big weekend going 11 for 15 at the plate with four home runs, a triple and 8 runs batted in. The biggest hit was a one-out bottom of the seventh walk-off home run in the 4-3 win over Western. The team will be home on Thursday, March 2 hosting Oakland Community College of Michigan at 1 p.m.
Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball team (12-6, 2-1) opened Sun-Lakes Conference play by taking two of three games from South Florida State College. On Friday, February 24 , the team rallied from a 7-1 deficit to defeat the Panthers 15-7 at WREC Park. In Avon Park on Saturday, February 25, the Bobcats lost the first game 4-1, but rallied to take game two 9-4. The team will travel to Palm Beach State College (8-6, 2-1) for a three-game set this weekend.
Men's Basketball
The men’s basketball team (9-14, 0-8) lost their home finale 82-86 to conference champion Florida Gateway on Wednesday, February 22. The Bobcats will play Palm Beach State College (14-10, 5-3) on Friday, March 3 in the conference semi-finals. The winner will play tournament host Florida Gateway College (13-11, 7-1) in Saturday’s championship game.
