Men’s Baseball

PHSC men’s baseball team have won four straight games and improved to 9-8 on the season. The week started on Monday with a doubleheader sweep of Hillsborough Community College by scores of 9-8 and 4-3.  "The game was originally scheduled to be played in Tampa, but wet fields at the Yankee complex allowed it to be moved to the West Campus because of our new Astroturf field.  Visiting teams have raved about our new turf this season," said Steve Winterling, Athletic Director.  The Bobcats also defeated fourth-ranked State College of Florida 9-7 on Thursday and capped off the week with a 10-6 win over South Florida State College Saturday. Bobcat baseball will host Florida Southwestern College on Monday, Polk State College on Tuesday and Indian River State College on Thursday.  Game times are 2 p.m.

The women’s volleyball team is currently 4-7 and 0-1 in the Sun-Lakes Conference. The Bobcats fell to South Florida State College 3-1 in the conference opener on Wednesday and lost a non-conference match at Santa Fe College 3-0 on Saturday.  Bobcat Volleyball will host Lake Sumter State on Wednesday and Florida Gateway College on Friday.  Both matches begin at 6 p.m.
