PHSC Assistant Baseball Coach Heads To Villanova

PHSC is proud to announce that one of our own is moving up in the coaching world. Dustin Snyder, the Men’s Baseball Assistant Coach, has recently been selected as the new Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach for the NCAA DI Villanova University this past summer. 

Snyder previously was both a player and assistant coach for the University of South Florida (USF) baseball program. He provided a variety of expertise in his tenure with the Bulls including being the team’s first base, outfield and pitching coach respectively. 

He joined PHSC for the 2024-25 season where he helped the Bobcats secure a national championship at the NJCAA DII College World Series in Enid, Oklahoma. 

Women’s Softball Team Wins Athletic Academic Award

For the fifth time in seven years, the Women’s Softball team has won the PHSC Athletic Academic Award after posting a team GPA of 3.48. 

Notably, PHSC Athletics has had five teams produce a GPA of 3.00 or higher during this past season.

Women’s Volleyball Secures Even Start In Opening Doubleheader

The Women’s Volleyball Team started the 2025-26 season with a 1-1 start after Friday's doubleheader, on August 22, with Polk State and Santa Fe College. 

Their contest with Polk State led to the first win of the regular season, winning 3-2 against the Eagles. The Bobcats won the second, third and fifth set to seal the deal. 

The following match, PHSC would lose to Santa Fe 2-3 and end the day with a 1-1 overall record. 

The team’s next match is on August 26, at the West Campus - Building K, against Hillsborough Community College at 6 p.m. EST.  

Women’s Soccer Team Even 1-1 In Tennessee Road Trip

The Women’s Soccer Team starts 1-1 this season after their trip to Memphis, TN to face off against two of their competitors. On Thursday, PHSC went up against East Central Community College. The team was shut out 5-0 by the Warriors. 

On Friday, the team brought an incredible turnaround performance against Southwestern Tennessee Community College. The Bobcats securing their first win of the regular season with a 5-0 victory.  

Notably, Raiyleigh Perry scored three of the five goals for the Bobcats. Mary Druey and Shelby Stewart put up one each in Friday’s contest. 

The team will travel to their next game against Trinity Baptist College on August 29 at 4 p.m. EST. 

Men’s Baseball Team Honored By Pasco County Board Of Commissioners and Tampa Bay Rays Organization

This week, PHSC had much to celebrate as both the Pasco County Board of Commissioners and the Tampa Bay Rays honored the Men’s Baseball Team after their NJCAA DII World Series Win.

On Wednesday, August 20, the Men’s Baseball Team was invited by the board to celebrate their victory. The proclamation featured addresses from both Head Coach and Athletic Director Lyndon Coleman and PHSC President Eric Hall, Ed.D.

On Thursday, August, 21, the Men’s Baseball Team and several key figures of PHSC including President Hall, Prashanth Pilly, Ph.D., Vice President of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer and Athletic Director Lyndon Coleman came to George M. Stienbrenner Field, current home of the Tampa Bay Rays, to be recognized by the major league organization. The college received an honorary jersey and a round of applause by the sold-out crowd. 

Pasco-Hernando State College and PHSC Athletics thank the Tampa Bay Rays Organization for making this possible.
