Women’s Volleyball

The women’s volleyball team (12-11) season came to an end at the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament held at Lake Sumter State College this past week. The Bobcats defeated Itawamba Community College (MS) in a nail-biting five set match in the first round. After taking the first two sets 25-15 and 25-19, ICC won the next two sets 25-17 and 25-21. In the final set, the Bobcats trailed most of the way before rallying for a 16-14 win. The win advanced the team to the semi-finals where South Florida State College ended our season with a decisive 3-0 win. Gulf Coast State College went on to defeat SFSC in the finals to advance to the National Tournament in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Men’s Basketball

The men’s basketball team (7-12) is preparing for the NJCAA DII South Atlantic District Championship in North Carolina. The team opens semi-final play Thursday evening (April 8) against the second highest remaining seed. The quarterfinals will be played Tuesday and the most likely opponent will be Sandhills Community College.

Women's Softball

Bobcat softball (13-17) swept a doubleheader from Thomas University JV in their home finale by scores of 8-0 and 17-1. They wrap up the regular season at Lake Sumter State College on April 15.

Men’s Baseball

The men’s baseball team (24-19) won four of five games this week with the big win over 6th-ranked State College of Florida 9-8 in Bradenton. The team will host Lake Sumter State College at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7.
