Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball team (29-9, 14-4) had its 15-game winning streak snapped at South Florida State on Friday, March 31. The Bobcats ended up falling to the Panthers two out of three games in Sun-Lakes Conference play. On Saturday, April 1, the team took the first game 8-2 and fell in game two 5-2. The league leading Bobcats have a two-game lead over St. Johns River State College with 12 conference games remaining. Palm Beach State College will come to this weekend for a three-game series starting Friday, April 7.
Women's Softball
The women’s softball team (21-11, 3-5) split conference doubleheaders this past week. On Tuesday, March 28, South Florida State took the first game 8-7 and the Bobcats bounced back to take game two 2-0. Emily Proctor pitched a complete game shutout allowing only five hits while striking out nine. The team traveled to St. Johns River State on Saturday, April 1, taking the first game 9-1 in five innings but falling 9-8 in game two. Mia Pulice had the big bat in game one going 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs. In game two Alexis Joy went 4 for 4 with two doubles, two home runs and 3 RBIs to lead the team. The team will have the week off before taking on league leading Lake Sumter State College on Tuesday, April 11 in Leesburg.
