The men’s baseball team (36-13, 19-8) will play their final regular season home game this Thursday, April 27 at 5 p.m. against St. Johns River State College (38-15, 19-8). The 10th ranked Bobcats and 14th ranked Vikings will be playing a three-game series with Friday’s doubleheader in Palatka. The winner of the series will host the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament that runs May 4-7. The Bobcats took the first three meetings between the two teams. We need a huge crowd to come out and support the team in this important game on Thursday, April 27. This past weekend the Bobcats took two of three games from Lake Sumter State College winning by scores of 5-0 and 9-1 in New Port Richey and falling 10-9 in Leesburg.
The women’s softball team (24-16, 6-10) will enter the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament seeded fourth after losing four games this past week. The team traveled to South Florida State on Tuesday, April 18 falling 8-4 and 5-3. In their final home game on Saturday, April 22, St. Johns River defeated the Bobcats 9-4 and 10-5. The tournament will be held in Clermont May 4-6.
