Men’s Baseball
This is a big week for the men’s baseball team as they prepare for the NJCAA DII Region 8 playoffs against ASA College (Miami). The Bobcats will host the best of three series on Friday, April 23 at 2 p.m. Game two is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday and game three, if necessary, will follow thirty minutes later. The winner will advance to Burlington, NC for the NJCAA DII South Atlantic District Championship May 14-18. "We are hoping for a big crowd to come out and cheer on the team. This past week the baseball team went 3-1 to improve their record to 29-20.," said Steve Winterling, Athletics Director.
Women’s Softball
The women’s softball team fell to 13-19 after falling at Lake Sumter State College 7-6 and 13-6. The Bobcats are hoping to add a couple of games prior to DII Tournament in Burlington May 14-15. "It’s an exciting time of year as our teams have worked hard to prepare for these tournaments," said Winterling. "In other news, some members of our athletic teams will be participating Friday in our roadside clean-up program. The athletic department takes care of a portion of Moon Lake Road 3-4 times annually."
