Men's Baseball
The men’s baseball team (31-13, 6-3) took two of three games from Florida State College at Jacksonville and reduced their magic number for hosting the region tournament to one. The team lost the opening home game 8-3 on Friday, April 8 but came back and swept the doubleheader 11-5 and 4-3 in 10 innings on Saturday. The Bobcats will host the University of Tampa JV on Tuesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. before wrapping up conference play at Palm Beach State College on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.
Women's Softball
The women’s softball team (25-15, 2-2) clinched home field for the NJCAA DII Region 8 tournament by winning a doubleheader in Jacksonville with scores of 3-1 and 14-5 on Saturday, April 9. The Blue Wave handed the Bobcats two crucial home losses 3-1 and 5-0 on Tuesday, April 5 Since both teams were 2-2, the tie breaker to host the tournament was run differential and the big bats in the second game Saturday (April 9) took care of that scenario. The team will host Lake Sumter State College in non-conference action on Friday, April 15. The best of three region playoff will be held April 22-23 at the PHSC West Campus.
