Madison Burr
Head Coach
Madison's passion for sports started at a young age. He played multiple sports all the way through High School. As a four-year letterman at Gulf High for varsity football, he earned All-conference, All-county, and All-state honors his junior and senior years. During his senior year, he committed to Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he would continue playing football and further his education. After college, he joined the Arena football league (AFL), where he played two seasons with the Tampa Bay Storm. Since 2016, he has been coaching volleyball (USAV) and various competitive flag football leagues (NFL flag, UA flag and UA Rise flag).
John Fey
Assistant Coach
With over two decades in education, John has dedicated his career to fostering student success and community engagement. Since 2002, John has served as an educator and, since 2006, as an adjunct college instructor, navigating various roles in academic affairs, student life, and intramural sports. Currently, John serves in recruiting and admissions, where he connects future students with life-changing opportunities. His passion for event planning has led to coordinating numerous campus and community events, most notably as the 15-year conference director of the Student Life Retreat. Beyond academics, he leads as a Trail Life leader, serves as an assistant coach for flag football, and hosts a podcast. He is honored to serve as the 2026-27 president of the Rotary Club of Seven Springs. When he's not working, he enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking, kayaking, and backpacking with his three sons.
