Mark Leonard
Head Coach
Mark Leonard is in his fourth year leading the Bobcat soccer program. Leonard has been coaching soccer for the last twenty-two years, six of which were at Wesley Chapel High School. His teams made the District Title game five out of his six years leading the program, winning four District Championships and were Regional Finalists in 2020. Leonard was named Wesley Chapel High School Coach of the Year in 2017-18 and Sunshine Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2017-18 and 2021-22. His Wesley Chapel teams were twice named "Team of the Year" in 2017-2018 and 2019-2020. Leonard earned his bachelor's degree in criminology at Florida State University in 1994. Leonard and his wife, Kristen, have four children and enjoy being a part of the PHSC family.
Katelind Melendez
Assistant Coach
Katelind Melendez is in her second year as the Assistant Coach for the Bobcats soccer program. With over 17 years of experience as a soccer official, she has an extensive understanding of the game, which she now applies to coaching. Katelind earned a bachelor's degree in criminology, a Master of Arts in criminology and a Master of Science in child and adolescent behavioral health from the University of South Florida. In her free time, Katelind enjoys boating with her husband, Gus, and spending time with their dog, Reese.
