Bobcat Weekend Wrap-up - October 3, 2022

All events were cancelled last week due to Hurricane Ian preparation. The women’s volleyball team will return to action hosting Palm Beach State College on Sunday, October 8. Both teams are on top of the South Division with three wins each. We hope to have a great crowd for this 3 p.m.

The women’s cross-country team placed fifth overall and first among NJCAA teams in the St. Leo Abbey Invitational on Saturday, September 24, 2022. The top five runners averaged 21:15 for the 5K race over the rolling hills of the Abbey golf course.

Luis Cruzado, PHSC Men's Cross Country Wins 8K Race

Congratulations Pasco-Hernando State College Men's Cross Country runner, Luis Cruzado (Belleview High School), who won the NJCAA Pre-National/TCC Open 8K The freshman finished with a time of 28:14:40.

New Head Coaches for PHSC Women's Soccer, Men's Basketball Programs

Pasco-Hernando State College recently hired Mark Leonard as head coach for the women's soccer team and promoted longtime men's basketball assistant coach Larry Behm to head coach.

Bobcat's Kylie Coffin Named NJCAA Pitcher of the Week

Pasco-Hernando State College's Kylie Coffin, Sophomore, went 2-0 on the week with two complete game shutouts and six strikeouts. Coffin's dominance earned her the NJCAA Softball DII Pitcher of the Week honor.

PHSC Women's Softball Team Wins NJCAA DII Region 8 Championship

What an exciting weekend as the women’s softball team punched their ticket to Henrico, VA by defeating Florida State College at Jacksonville 5-0 in the NJCAA DII Region 8 Championship game. The best of three series began on Friday with a doubleheader at home.

PHSC Men's Baseball Hosts NJCAA DII Region 8 Championship

The men’s baseball team (37-15) wrapped up their regular season by sweeping Inspiration Academy over the weekend 19-3, 8-4 and 3-2. The Bobcats will host the NJCAA DII Region 8 Championship on Thursday, April 28, 2022. The top-seeded Bobcats will take on #4 ASA College at 7 p.m.

The men’s baseball team (33-15, 7-5) clinched first place and top seed for the Sun-Lakes Conference tournament by defeating Palm Beach State (29-13, 5-6) by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Bobcats fell to Palm Beach 10-5 on Friday and 4-3 in Saturday’s second game.

Pasco-Hernando State College is excited to announce a brand-new men’s cross-country team. The first signees of the 10–12-person roster are Seth Stringer from Pasco High School and Max Moore from Palm Harbor University High School.

The team wrapped up the 2021 season at the NJCAA Half Marathon Championship in Richmond, VA on Tuesday, November 16. The team placed 9th and enjoyed several personal records in the event.

PHSC Adds Men’s Cross Country Program - Names Lee Rietsma Head Coach

Pasco-Hernando State College Athletics Director Steve Winterling recently announced the addition of men’s cross country to the College’s inter-collegiate program roster beginning in the fall 2022 season.
