Men's Basketball Team Loses Three Straight Games Amid November Road Trip

The Men’s Basketball Team ends the week with a three-game losing streak amid a five-game road trip.

The Bobcats faced the St. Petersburg College Titans on November 11, aiming to shatter a 14-year losing streak by defeating a NJCAA/FCSAA Division I team.

Unfortunately, their efforts fell short, resulting in a 95-70 loss.

The following game, the Men’s Basketball Team traveled to Jacksonville, FL for a neutral site game against USC Salkehatchie on November 14. The Bobcats lost 116-104.

In their final game of the week, the Bobcats faced Enterprise State Community College on November 15. The team lost 73-51, pushing the Bobcats to a 2-4 overall record.

Their next game is on the road scheduled for November 21 at 5 p.m. at Indian River State College.

The Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Teams ended their season strong in Fort Dodge, IA at the NJCAA Half Marathon Cross Country Championships.

On November 11, the Men’s Cross Country Team competed on the 13.1 mile course, finishing 14th-place among DI, DII, & DIII programs and 2nd among NJCAA DII colleges. Three runners secured impressive placements which include team-leader Malik Millet (47th - 1:13:04), followed by Dylan Powell (69th - 1:14:59), and Zachary Townsend (73rd - 1:15:34).

The Women’s Cross Country Team continued their strong performances by placing in the top-25 on the 13.1 mile course, securing a respectable 21st-place finish among DI, DII, & DIII programs. The Lady Bobcats were led by Carlie Ortiz (92nd - 1:43:29), followed by Isabella Quinlan (99th - 1:45:12), and Kammy Enerson (107th - 1:47:25).

Men’s Baseball Team Participates In Roadside Clean Up Efforts

This past weekend, PHSC Baseball participated in the Pasco County Roadside Cleanup program through the Pasco County Adopt-A-Road Program. PHSC Athletics maintains a stretch of road on Moon Lake Road, contributing to the community’s well-being.

Former PHSC Pitcher Sean Fluke Drafted To The Party Animals

Former PHSC standout pitcher Sean Fluke, who played with the Bobcats from 2015-16 was drafted in the inaugural Banana Ball League Draft by the Party Animals!

Fifth Annual Beets Classic Update

Pool Play in the 5th Annual Beets Classic concluded this week with East Lake and Tampa Catholic winning each of their pools. Land O’ Lakes and North Side Christian both advanced by finishing second in their pools to the playoffs that will be played this week.

On Tuesday night, the top seed, Tampa Catholic, will face the second seed, Land O’ Lakes, at 5:30 p.m. Game 2 will be between East Lake and Northside Christian which will begin 20 minutes after Game 1 concludes.

The winners of Tuesday’s games will play for the championship on Thursday, November 20, at 7 p.m. All games are played at Withlacoochee River Electric Co-Op Park.
