Men’s Baseball Team Drops One Against The St. John’s River State College, Bounces Back in Doubleheader, Ending Four Game Skid
The Bobcats bounced back after an early fumble in their three-game series against the Vikings of St. John’s River State College.
On March 12, PHSC took on St. John’s River State College (19-12) at WREC Park. The Bobcats lost 15-5 in five innings, marking the eleventh overall loss this season for the Bobcats as they prepared for their away doubleheader.
On March 14, the Bobcats traveled to Palatka, FL to finish the three-game series with an afternoon doubleheader. In Game one, PHSC won 7-4 and snapped their four-game losing streak. The Bobcats produced seven hits and two home runs against the Vikings. In Game 2, the Bobcats won dominantly 12-1 and extended the current win streak to two games thus far.
The Bobcats currently sit with an 8-4 conference record and 18-11 overall record entering this week. Their next scheduled game will be on March 17 at College of Central Florida (18-12). The expected start time is 3 p.m. EST.
Men’s Baseball Team Currently Ranked #2 in the Nation in Latest NJCAA DII Posting
PHSC’s Men’s Baseball Team is entering the 2025-2026 season with impressive standings. The National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) has ranked PHSC as the #2 team in the nation at the Division II level.
The week one rankings were announced on March 9. PHSC currently holds the #2 position in the nation, just behind East Central Community College.
The Bobcats currently sit with an 8-4 conference record and 18-11 overall record.
Women’s Softball Team Swept by State College of Florida in Three-Game Series
The Women’s Softball Team resumes play this week after a series sweep by State College of Florida.
On March 13, PHSC played their first of a three-game series against State College of Florida (20-11). The contest was held at WREC Park on the West Campus. PHSC lost the game 13-2 in five innings. The Bobcats drove in a run in the first and third innings, respectively.
On March 14, the Bobcats traveled to Bradenton, FL for an away doubleheader against State College of Florida. PHSC lost both games, extending their losing streak to six games. In Game one, the Bobcats were routed out by the Manatees 9-1. In Game two, the Bobcats dropped the contest 15-6.
The Bobcats now sit with a 1-18 overall record and 1-8 conference record entering this week. PHSC will take on Lake Sumter State College (23-10) in an away contest on March 20. The expected start time is 1 p.m. EST.
